Nienke Latten was born in The Netherlands in a city called Voorburg. As a child, Nienke was singing all the time and she made her family very clear that she wanted to be a singer. At the age of 12, she started to develop an interest in musicals. From the moment she saw her first musical she fell in love with the combination of the three disciplines: singing, dancing and acting.
 

From the age of 12 until 16, she joined several musical groups, took dance and singing classes and joined the “Kleynkoor Academy” in Noordwijk. In those years, she gained a lot of stage experience. She dreamt about the future and nothing could stop her. Then she was accepted at “Fontys School for Performing Arts” in Tilburg. Full of passion and dedication she graduated from Music theatre. The final exam was a self-directed musical for which she received a 9,5 out of 10. At this moment, she felt ready to delve into the world of musical.

 

In the first year after her graduation, she got a leading part, “Princess Tessa”, in the musical “Puss in boots”. This musical toured through the Netherlands and Belgium. She also sang “Maria” in “West Side story”, concert version, in 2017 and 2018. 

 

From 2018 to 2021, Nienke played the role of Princess JASMIN in Disney's ALADDIN in Hamburg and Stuttgart.

  2021/2022 She moved back to the Netherlands to play the lead role in the New musical ONE; Princess Mira.

Nienke is currently performing the role of first cast ICH in the REBECCA production in Vienna. It will be playing here from September 22, '22 to the end of June '23.
